国民的アニメ「サザエさん」は、最も長く放送しているアニメとして
ギネス世界記録を保持していますが、今年５５周年を迎え、さらに記録を更新しました
日曜の夜６時半からの放送なので、テレビが一家に一台しかなかった時代
家族でサザエさんを観ながら夕飯を食べる、というのがわりと定番でした
ストーリーも、サザエさん一家と、その周りの人々とのちょっとしたドタバタや
日常のクスッと笑えるような軽めの内容です
悪人も出てこず、スリリングな展開とは無縁ですが、小さな子供にも
安心して見せられるほのぼのとした番組、といったところでしょうか
サザエさん一家の名前は、海に関するネーミングになっているのが

磯、波、船 サザエ→貝 ワカメ→海藻
フグ、マス、カツオ、タラ→魚 ご近所さんもこんな感じの名前です
物語の時代設定はナゾが多く、昭和（１９２６〜１９８９年）と思いきや
デジタルカメラやスカイツリーが登場したりして、視聴者に戸惑いを与えることも。。。
結婚したサザエが実家に住み続けるというめずらしいケースでもあります
特に年齢設定には昔から違和感を感じていて、
サザエと弟のカツオは１３歳も差がある？！
フネがワカメを産んだのは４３歳？！！
波平はこれでも５２歳？！！！。。。などなど
でもまとめると、愛されて人気があればオールオッケー！ってトコですね
今は視聴率も１０％を切っていますが、それでもドラえもんや名探偵コナンより高く、
アニメ部門ではトップなのでまだまだ安泰かな
ちなみに私はサザエさんはおろか、もうテレビ自体観なくなりました
スマホやタブレットを一人一台持つようになった今、
どこまで記録を伸ばせるでしょうか。。。
The beloved national anime Sazae-san holds the Guinness World Record
for being the longest-running animated television series.
This year marks its 55th anniversary,
setting yet another new milestone in its ongoing record.
It airs on Sundays at 6:30 PM,
so back when there was only one TV per household,
it was quite common for the whole family to eat dinner while watching Sazae-san together.
The stories usually revolve around the Sazae family and the people around them,
with lighthearted, everyday mishaps that make you smile.
There are no villains, no thrilling plot twists —
it’s a gentle, heartwarming show that even small children can enjoy safely.
One distinctive feature of the Sazae family is that their names are all related to the sea.
Names related to the sea appear throughout:
Iso (rocky shore), Nami (wave), Fune (boat).
The family members: Sazae — a type of shellfish, Wakame — seaweed.
Other family members and neighbors are named after fish, like Fugu, Masu, Katsuo, and Tara.
Even the neighbors have names in the same ocean-inspired style.
The time period of the story is full of mysteries.
Although it seems to be set in the Showa era (1926–1989),
digital cameras and the Tokyo Skytree sometimes appear,
which can be a little confusing for viewers.
It’s also unusual that Sazae, after getting married, continues to live in her parents’ home.
I’ve always found the ages a bit puzzling:
Sazae and her younger brother Katsuo are supposedly 13 years apart?!
Fune supposedly gave birth to Wakame at 43?!
And Namihei is only 52 years old despite all this?! …and so on.
But in the end, it seems that as long as a show is loved and popular, everything’s fine!
Nowadays, Sazae-san’s ratings have dropped below 10%,
but that’s still higher than Doraemon or Detective Conan,
making it the top show in the anime category — so it seems safe for now.
As for me, I’ve stopped watching TV altogether, let alone Sazae-san.
With everyone now having their own smartphone or tablet,
it’s hard to say just how much longer the show’s record will continue.
