海浜公園は茨城県にある国営公園です
今年もネモフィラが満開の時期を迎えました
この写真は、ここの公園のスタッフである私の友人が送ってくれました
朝イチで撮影したそうです。でなきゃこの時期に人がいないなんてありえません！
実際は今、めちゃくちゃ混んでますからね！去年のGWには32万人以上の人が
訪れました。5月3日に5万8000人余りが入園し、歴代1位記録を達成しました

私は海浜公園には2回行ったことがあります
去年、ネモフィラのピークが例年よりも早く、混雑する前に
絶好のタイミングで見に行くことができました
海浜公園は広いです！ ゲートが4箇所あるんですが
1番近いゲートから入っても、ネモフィラの咲く「見晴らしの丘」
までは歩いて10〜15分位かかります。園内をめぐっている
シーサイドトレインという電車にも乗れますけど。
友人とおしゃべりしながらのんびり歩いていていって
ふと前方に目をやると、見晴らしの丘が視界に飛び込んできました

ほぼ満開なのに人が少なかった奇跡の平日‼︎
ゆっくり眺めながら丘の上に登ります。もしやわらかかったら…
すぐ元通りに戻るなら…ネモフィラの花畑にダイブしたい気持ちです
最初に「ここにネモフィラを植えよう」って考えた人スゲー！
帰る時も、目に焼き付けておこうと何度も振り返ってしまいます
ぜひ1度は見て欲しいですね
もちろん海浜公園はネモフィラだけではありません。これからはバラも咲くし
夏にはひまわり、そして秋にはもう１つの目玉であるコキアも人気です
そもそも1日では回れないと思います。初めて行った時は
スタッフである友人と「全体像を知るツアー」と称して
まずは観覧車に乗って上から眺めました。
自然だけでなく遊園地もあるから広い年齢層で楽しめます
観覧車はあえてシースルーの透明なゴンドラに乗りました！
足元を見ると地面が遠くに見えてゾワゾワするんですけどね
他にもカップル向けのピンクのラブリーなゴンドラもあるんですよ
高校生くらいのカップルが乗ってましたけど、
ちょっと小っ恥ずかしいですね♪
空から公園を一望したので、今度は園内を巡るシーサイドトレインに
乗って一周します。何箇所か停留所があるので、一日券を買って
何度でも乗り降りできます。乗りながら園内の説明も聞けますよ
電車に乗らなくてもレンタルサイクリングで好きなように
回ることもできます
いたるところに椅子やテーブルがあって疲れたらすぐ休めるし
トイレもたくさんあるので何かと安心ですね
バーベキュー広場ではお酒も飲めますから…♬
海浜公園、近かったら年間パスポート持ちたいくらい！
普段はルームランナーを愛用しているインドア派の私でも
ここなら景色を見ながらランニングしたいなぁ。。。
最後に。。。これは友人も含めた公園のスタッフを代弁して
外国人観光客のみなさんにお願いがあります
閉園時間を守りましょう！時間を過ぎてもなかなか帰ってくれなくて
困っているそうです。日本の感覚だと、5時閉園だったら
5時の時点でもう公園の外にいるってことです
スタッフのみなさんが残業しなくて済むようにしてあげて下さいね
Located in Ibaraki Prefecture, Hitachi Seaside Park is a national park known for its beautiful nemophila hills, which are now in full bloom again this year

She took it early in the morning — otherwise, it would be impossible to capture a shot with no people at this time of year!
Right now, the park is incredibly crowded. During last year’s Golden Week, more than 320,000 people visited.
On May 3rd alone, over 58,000 visitors entered the park, setting a new all-time record.

I’ve been to Hitachi Seaside Park twice.
Last year, the nemophila reached their peak earlier than usual, so I was lucky enough to visit at the perfect time—before the crowds arrived.
The park is huge! There are four entrance gates, and even if you enter from the closest one, it still takes about 10 to 15 minutes on foot to reach “Miharashi no Oka,” the hill covered with nemophila. You can also take the Seaside Train that runs through the park.
My friend and I were chatting as we strolled along, and when I happened to look up—there it was.
The hill was blue!
It was a miracle weekday — almost in full bloom, yet with so few people around!
I slowly made my way up the hill, taking in the view as I went.
If only it were soft… if only everything would spring back to normal… I’d want to dive right into the sea of nemophila!
Whoever first came up with the idea of planting nemophila here — genius!
Even as I was leaving, I couldn’t help but look back again and again, wanting to etch the view into my memory.
It’s something you really should see at least once in your life.
Of course, Hitachi Seaside Park isn’t just about nemophila. Soon the roses will be in bloom, followed by sunflowers in summer and the park’s other star attraction — kochia — in autumn.
Honestly, I don’t think you can see everything in just one day.
When I first visited, my friend who works at the park suggested we start with what we called an “overview tour” — by riding the Ferris wheel to get a bird’s-eye view.
The park isn’t only about nature; there’s also an amusement area, so people of all ages can enjoy it.
We decided to go for the see-through gondola!
Looking down and seeing the ground so far below gave me a little chill, but it was fun all the same.
There’s also a lovely pink gondola designed for couples — I saw a pair of high school students riding it, and, well… it was kind of adorable, but also a little embarrassing to watch!
After seeing the park from above, we decided to take a ride on the Seaside Train that circles around the park.
There are several stops along the way, and with a one-day pass, you can hop on and off as many times as you like.
You can even listen to a guided explanation of the park while riding.
If you prefer, you can also explore freely by renting a bicycle instead of taking the train.
There are benches and tables everywhere, so you can rest anytime you need to, and there are plenty of restrooms — very reassuring!
At the barbecue area, you can even enjoy a drink or two.♬
If I lived closer, I’d definitely get an annual pass!
Even though I’m usually an indoor type who sticks to a treadmill, I think I’d love to go for a run here while enjoying the view.
And finally… on behalf of my friend and all the park staff, I have one small request for our international visitors:
Please follow the closing time!
They say it’s been a bit of a problem that some people don’t leave even after the park has officially closed.
In Japan, if the park closes at 5 p.m., it means you should already be outside the gates by 5.
Let’s help the staff finish their work on time so they don’t have to stay late. Thank you for your cooperation!
