先日、大谷翔平選手がバッターボックスに入る際の音楽で
『ムーンライト伝説』が流れ、しかもホームランまで打っちゃって
話題となっていました。実際にその映像を見たんですけど
それ以来3〜4日位、ムーンライト伝説が頭の中をまわっていて…
セーラームーンを観てた頃の思い出もよみがえってきて
この記事を書こうと思い立ちました
セーラームーンは子供向けアニメなのでしょうけど
私はある程度大きくなってから観ました
夕飯時にたまたまテレビをつけたら最初のシリーズが
やっていて、そのまま5年間、5つある最終シリーズまで観てしまいました
要するにハマってしまったってヤツです
私のように途中から観ても、地球を守るために悪と戦うストーリー
なんだな、と分かりきっていたものの、観ててもところどころ
？マークがともってつながりが分からないことがありました。
ちょっともったいなかったな、と思ってます
なのでこれから観てみようと思っているみなさんはまず
なぜ主人公 月野うさぎはセーラー戦士になったのかを押さえて
おいて下さい！これを知っておけば為本的に一話30分で完結するので
どこから観ても後のストーリーにもスムーズについていけると思います
それでは、セーラームーンを存分に楽しむためのプロローグです！
少しドジで泣き虫ながらも天真爛漫で優しい月野うさぎは
ある日黒猫と出会います。その猫は実は月の王国の使者「ルナ」
そしてこう告げます
『あなたは選ばれし戦士、セーラームーンなの』
うさぎの前世は月の王国のプリンセスで、平和に暮らしていましたが
地球の王子と禁断の恋をしていました。この王子は後にうさぎの恋人となる
地場衛＆タキシード仮面の前世です。地球では邪悪な存在が人々をそそのかし
月の王国を襲撃します。その戦いで王子はプリンセスを守ろうとして
命を落とし、絶望したプリンセスも彼の後を追って
自ら命を絶ってしまいます…ロミオとジュリエットみたいですね
王国が崩壊する中、クイーンは「幻の銀水晶」の力を使って、プリンセスと
彼女の守護戦士たち（マーキュリー・マーズ・ジュピター・ヴィーナス）を
未来の地球へ転生させます。
『いつか再び幸せな人生を歩めるように』と。
ここで「幻の銀水晶」も覚えておくポイントです！
なぜ幻なのかというと、どこにあるか誰も知らないから…
うさぎは地球で普通の中学生として生まれましたが
地球を脅かす敵と戦うために、セーラー戦士として
目覚めさせられたのです。はじめは戸惑いながらも大切な人や
地球を守るために戦う決意を固めていきます
ルナが変身アイテムのブローチを渡し
『ムーン・プリズム・パワー！ メイクアップ！』
のかけ声でセーラー戦士へと変身します！なんてったって
この変身シーンは見とれました！シンデレラみたいに一気に
変わるのではなくて段階的に完成していく感じ、と言いましょうか
大きくなってから観たので、「今の少女アニメ凝ってるな〜！」って
感心しましたね
そして戦う前に、敵に向かって自己紹介（名乗り）から決めゼリフのシーン
『愛と正義の セーラー服美少女戦士 セーラームーン！』
『月にかわって、おしおきよ！』
…自分で「美少女」って言っちゃうのもどうかと思うんですが
この「おしおきよ！」のポーズは多分みんなマネしたことあるハズ
いつもの大して強くない敵は30分の放送内に倒されて
めでたしめでたしで終わります
さぁ！この流れさえ知っておけば、もういつでもセーラームーンの世界へ

愛されている作品です。女の子の大好きな
魔法、カワイイ、綺麗、友情、恋愛、ハート、キラキラ。。。
が壮大なストーリーの中にたくさん詰まっています
大きくなってから観ても心の中の少女がワクワクしました♪
でもシリーズも終盤になると、戦闘シーンも激しくなってくるんですよ

The other day, Shohei Ohtani made headlines when Moonlight Densetsu played as his walk-up song — and he even hit a home run!
After watching the video, that song kept playing in my head for about three or four days straight. It also brought back so many memories of when I used to watch Sailor Moon, and that’s what inspired me to write this article.
Although Sailor Moon is generally considered a children’s anime, I actually started watching it when I was a bit older. One evening, I happened to turn on the TV during dinner and caught the very first series — and before I knew it, I had watched all five seasons, right through to the final one.
In short, I got completely hooked.
Even though I started watching halfway through the series, I could tell it was a story about fighting evil to protect the Earth.
Still, there were moments when I found myself puzzled — wondering how certain events or characters were connected.
Looking back, I feel it was a bit of a waste not to understand everything at the time.
So if you’re planning to watch Sailor Moon, I recommend starting by learning why the main character, Usagi Tsukino, became a Sailor Guardian in the first place.
Once you know that, you’ll find it easy to follow the story — since most episodes are self-contained and wrap up within 30 minutes.
Now then, here’s a little prologue to help you enjoy Sailor Moon to the fullest!
Usagi Tsukino, a bit clumsy and quick to cry but cheerful and kind at heart, encounters a black cat one day.
That cat turns out to be Luna, a messenger from the Moon Kingdom.
Luna tells her,
“You are the chosen warrior — Sailor Moon.”
In her previous life, Usagi was a princess of the Moon Kingdom, living peacefully until she fell into a forbidden love with a prince from Earth.
That prince was the previous incarnation of Mamoru Chiba — the man who would later become her beloved, Tuxedo Mask.
On Earth, an evil force corrupted people’s hearts and led them to attack the Moon Kingdom.
During the battle, the prince died while trying to protect the princess.
Overcome with grief, the princess took her own life to follow him.
…A tragic tale, much like Romeo and Juliet.
As the Moon Kingdom fell into ruin, the Queen used the power of the Legendary Silver Crystal to send the Princess and her guardian warriors — Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, and Venus — to be reborn on Earth in the distant future.
Her wish was simple yet profound:
“May they one day live a happy life again.”
Here’s another key term to remember — the Legendary Silver Crystal.
It’s called “legendary” because no one knows where it truly is.
Usagi was reborn as an ordinary middle school girl on Earth, unaware of her past life.
But when new enemies threatened the planet, she awakened as a Sailor Guardian.
Though confused at first, she gradually made up her mind — to fight for the people she loved, and to protect the Earth.
Luna gives Usagi a transformation brooch, and with the phrase,
“Moon Prism Power! Make Up!”
she transforms into a Sailor Guardian!
That transformation scene was absolutely mesmerizing.
Unlike Cinderella, who changes in an instant, Sailor Moon’s transformation unfolds step by step — almost like watching magic take shape before your eyes.
Since I watched it when I was a bit older, I couldn’t help but think, “Wow, girls’ anime these days are so elaborate!”
And before she fights, she always introduces herself with her famous line:
“I am the pretty guardian in a sailor suit — Sailor Moon!”
“In the name of the Moon, I’ll punish you!”
I have to say — it’s kind of funny that she calls herself a “pretty guardian.”
Still, I’m sure everyone has tried that famous “In the name of the Moon!” pose at least once. 🌙
As usual, the not-so-strong villains get defeated within the 30-minute episode,
and everything ends with a cheerful “happily ever after.”
So! Now that you know the basic flow of the story,
you’re ready to dive right into the world of Sailor Moon!

This season shines a spotlight on Chibiusa, the daughter of Usagi and Mamoru who comes from the future.
She takes an active role and adds a new kind of energy to the story. 💕 - Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
The final chapter of the series — and what an emotional finale it was.
I have to admit, I cried when it ended.
Theatrical films were also released in 2021 and 2023,
proving that Sailor Moon remains a beloved series even after more than thirty years.
It’s filled with everything girls love — magic, cuteness, beauty, friendship, romance, hearts, and sparkles — all woven into a grand, emotional story. ✨
Even watching it as an adult, I could still feel the little girl inside me getting excited all over again. 💕
That said, as the series approaches its finale, the battles do grow more intense!
