ドラえもんは2112年生まれなので、正確にはまだ誕生して
いないのですが…
ドラえもんは、日本では全く説明不要な国民的キャラクター！
ある日、何をやってもダメな少年・のび太を立派な大人にするために
22世紀からやってきたネコ型ロボットです。おなかについた
「四次元ポケット」から出る「ひみつ道具」でのび太を助けるのが
使命なのですが、おっちょこちょいなところもあってよく
失敗してます（笑）のび太を守る保護者のようであり、一緒に
遊んだりする親友のような存在です
漫画は1969年から1997年に発表され、アニメは1973年から公開
今も放送されており、たくさんの映画化もされています
私も小さい頃からドラえもんの漫画を読み、アニメや映画を観て
育ちました。学校へ行くのがめんどくさい時は「どこでもドア」
があればいいのにと思ったし、試験の前は「暗記パン」が欲しかった！
何かトラブルがあると、ドラえもんがいたらなあ…と思ったのは
私だけではないはずです。
ドラえもんの話は、友情、家族、夢の大切さをおしえてくれる
世代を超えて愛される物語ですが、大人になったからこそ
刺さるストーリーがあります。実はこれは作者が書いたものではなく
ファンの創作なのですが、ドラえもんの最終回として語りつがれています
いい話なので「ドラえもん電池切れ説」をシェアしますね
ある日突然ドラえもんが動かなくなってしまいます。妹の
ドラミちゃんに聞いたところ、バッテリー切れが原因だと
分かります。でも本来バックアップ用記憶メモリーは耳に
内蔵されているので、耳のないドラえもんのバッテリーを
交換すると、記憶が消えてしまうのです。
一緒に過ごした日々を完全に消去してバッテリーを交換するか
記憶を消さずに再起動させる技術が開発される未来を待つか
の２つの選択肢を前に、のび太は「僕がドラえもんを直す」と
決意します。
のび太は猛勉強を始め、やがてロボット工学の道に進み
しずかちゃんは、そんなのび太を健気に支え続けます
時は流れ35年後、大人になったのび太は日本を代表する
天才的ロボット工学者となっていました
そしてのび太はついにドラえもんの記憶を消さずに
再起動させる技術を自力で開発したのです
スイッチを入れ、ドラえもんが再起動します。その第一声が…
「のび太くん、宿題は終わったのかい？！」
最後のコマは、あの頃ののび太に戻っていました。。。
Doraemon is said to have been born in the year 2112, so technically he hasn’t even been born yet…
Doraemon is a nationally beloved character in Japan—no introduction needed! He’s a cat-shaped robot from the 22nd century, sent to help a boy named Nobita, who seems incapable of doing anything right, grow into a fine adult.
His mission is to help Nobita using the “secret gadgets” that come out of the “four-dimensional pocket” on his belly. That said, he can be clumsy and often fails too (haha). Doraemon is both a guardian who protects Nobita and a friend who plays and spends time with him.
The manga was published from 1969 to 1997, and the anime has been airing since 1973. It’s still being broadcast today, and there have been many movie adaptations as well.
I grew up reading Doraemon manga and watching the anime and movies. Whenever I felt too lazy to go to school, I wished I had a “Anywhere Door,” and before exams, I wanted a “Memory Bread”! I’m sure I wasn’t the only one who thought, “If only Doraemon were here…” whenever trouble came up.
Doraemon’s stories, loved across generations, teach us about friendship, family, and the importance of dreams. And now that we’re adults, some of these stories resonate even more deeply. Interestingly, one story often cited as Doraemon’s “final chapter” wasn’t written by the original author—it was created by a fan—but it’s passed down and cherished as such.
Since it’s such a touching story, I’d like to share the “Doraemon Battery Runs Out Theory” with you.
One day, Doraemon suddenly stops moving. When asked, his sister Dorami explains that it’s due to a dead battery. However, his backup memory is normally stored in his ears, so replacing the battery in Doraemon—who has no ears—would erase all his memories.
Faced with two options—completely erasing all the memories they shared to replace the battery, or waiting for a future technology that could reboot Doraemon without wiping his memory—Nobita makes a firm decision:
“I’ll fix Doraemon myself.”
Nobita throws himself into studying and eventually pursues a career in robotics, while Shizuka quietly supports him with unwavering devotion.
Thirty-five years later, Nobita has grown into one of Japan’s top genius robotic engineers. At last, he develops the technology to reboot Doraemon without erasing his memories—all by himself.
Nobita flips the switch, and Doraemon reboots. His very first words are…
“Nobita, have you finished your homework?!”
In the final panel, he’s back to being the Nobita of those days…
