“明治”という企業から発売されているチョコレート菓子です

日本で子供時代を育ったなら、何度となく当たり前のように食べたお菓子です

そして「きのこたけのこ論争」というのは、「どちらが好きか？」という
日本で40年にわたって今も続いている人気対決のことです

2001年はたけのこ党が勝利し、その後も何回か選挙が行われています
きのこ党が勝った年もあって、2019年には、互いの健闘をたたえあい
ノーサイド協定が締結されました（なんのこっちゃ）
2020年には、やはり明治によって、国民大調査も実施されました
もっと他にやることがあるような気もするんですが
そうは言っても、日本人なら誰しもが心の奥底で、「私はこっちの方が好き」
という意見を待っています。この話題になった時に聞かれたら答えますが
私はずっとたけのこ派です。浮気したことはありません。
なので最近、利用しているSNSで外国の方たちが
「きのこの山」の話題をしていたんですが、きのこの山だけが賞賛されて
たけのこの里が存在しないかのようなやり取りをしていて。。。
どうしても見過ごすことができなくて。。。
で、この記事を書くに至ったワケです。
実際質問してみると、ちゃんと両方食べていない感じです。きっとあの
きのこの形がウケていて、お土産に選ばれやすいのかな、と思いますが。
でもどちらも食べてみなければ、どちらが美味しいかは分かりません
というわけで、これからお土産を買うときはぜひコレを買って下さい！

They’ve even gained some popularity overseas.♬
The so-called “Kinoko vs. Takenoko debate” refers to a long-standing rivalry over which one people like better.
It’s been going on for over 40 years in Japan and is still a hot topic today.
Because the two differ in shape, taste, and texture, each has passionate fans who continue to keep the debate alive.

Since the 1980s, the question “Which side are you on?” has spread among consumers,
and in 2001, Meiji even held an official “Kinoko vs. Takenoko General Election.”
How wonderfully peaceful is that?
In 2001, the “Takenoko Party” claimed victory, and several more elections have been held since then.
There were also years when the “Kinoko Party” won. In 2019, the two sides put their rivalry aside and signed a “No-Side Agreement” to honor each other’s efforts. (Don’t ask me what that really means!)
In 2020, Meiji conducted a nationwide survey on the topic once again.
You might think there are more important things to worry about,
but deep down, every Japanese person secretly knows which side they’re on.
When the topic comes up, I always say it proudly — I’ve been on the Takenoko side all along.
I’ve never once switched teams!
Recently, I saw some foreign users on social media talking about Kinoko no Yama.
Everyone was praising it, as if Takenoko no Sato didn’t even exist…
I just couldn’t let that slide!
That’s what inspired me to write this post.
When I asked around, it turned out that most people hadn’t even tried both.
Maybe the cute mushroom shape makes Kinoko no Yama more eye-catching as a souvenir.
But really — you can’t decide which one’s better unless you’ve tasted both!
