紅白歌合戦とは、NHK（日本放送協会）が毎年大晦日（１２月３１日）
に放送している生放送の音楽特別番組です。今年は第75回目となり
長寿番組の１つです

サザエさんの回の時にも言いましたが、私はもはやテレビを観ないので
今年も観ないだろうと思いますが。。。ただ日本の大晦日を語る上では
これは外せないかな。。。と思い、本日のテーマにしました！
年々視聴率は下がっているとはいえ、まだ30％近くある番組です
これを観ないと年が越せない、という人たちもいます
でも、これを読んでるみなさんは、私が紅白をどう思っているか
うっすらと分かっていると思います（笑）
それでは私の独断と偏見な見方で、はりきって紹介していきましょう♪
ナゼ 紅と白？ というのは 紅組→女性 白組→男性 に分かれて
競うからです。今の時代にジェンダーに対する配慮もナシ〜〜
歌のジャンルも、ポップスから演歌、アニメソングからアイドルまで
幅広い世代に向けた番組作りを目指しているのは分かるのですが
結果的に知らない歌手ばかりになってしまっています
どの歌手が出場するのかという基準もよく分からなくて
今年人気のあった歌手もちらほらいますが、昔の大ヒット曲を毎年
歌っている年配の歌手もけっこういます。。。
あ！カラオケの回で紹介した 郷ひろみがまた『2億4千万の瞳』を
歌いますよ‼︎
紅白は、午後7時20分から11時45分の長丁場なので歌の合間に特別企画が
入ります。今年亡くなった歌手の追悼があったり、1年間を歌のメドレーと
ともに振り返ったり。。。きっと大谷選手あたりが取り上げられるでしょう
歌合戦というからには勝敗はあるんでしょうが、いちおうゲストの
審査員がいて、あと会場にいる観客、家からもTVのリモコンから
投票できるようですが、あまり気にしている人はいないと思います〜
ここまで読んで、紅白を観てみたくなったみなさん！
とりあえずどういうものか一度観てみれば、年末の
日本人との会話のキッカケには困らないですよ！
今年最後になりましたが、星の数ほどあるブログの中でこのブログを

The NHK Kouhaku Uta Gassen is a special live music program broadcast by NHK (Japan Broadcasting Corporation) every New Year’s Eve (December 31).
This year marks its 75th edition, making it one of Japan’s long-running shows.
As I mentioned when talking about the Sazae-san episode, I hardly watch TV anymore,
so I don’t think I’ll be watching this year either…
But when it comes to talking about New Year’s Eve in Japan,
I felt this is something you just can’t leave out —
which is why I chose it as today’s topic!
Although the ratings have been declining year by year, the show still draws close to 30% of viewers.
There are even people who feel they can’t ring in the New Year without watching it.
But I’m guessing most of you reading this already have a vague idea of what I think about Kouhaku (laughs).
So now, let’s dive in and take a look through my completely subjective lens! ♪
Why red and white, you ask?
It’s because the teams are divided into red for women and white for men, and they compete against each other.
There’s no consideration for gender in today’s era!
I can understand that the show aims to cater to a wide audience,
with genres ranging from pop to enka, anime songs to idol music.
But the result is often that most of the performers are completely unfamiliar to me.
I’m not really sure what the criteria are for which singers get to perform.
Some popular artists from this year do appear,
but there are also quite a few older singers who keep performing their big hits from years ago.
Oh! Hiromi Go, who I introduced in the karaoke episode, will be singing “24 Million Eyes” again!!
Kouhaku runs from 7:20 p.m. to 11:45 p.m., so it’s a long show,
and special segments are inserted between the songs.
There’s a tribute to singers who passed away this year,
and a look back at the year with a medley of popular songs…
I’m sure someone like Shohei Ohtani will get mentioned as well.
Since it’s called a “song battle,” there is technically a winner.
There are guest judges, the audience in the venue, and even people at home can vote using their TV remote.
But I don’t think many people really pay much attention to that.
For those of you who’ve read this far and feel like giving Kouhaku a try!
Just watch it once to get a sense of what it’s all about —
it’ll give you plenty of conversation starters with Japanese people around New Year’s.
