と斜め上から眺めてました。でもさらに
落下しながら銃撃→ガラスを割って突入
あたりでノックアウトされそうになりましたが
罠にハマってたまるか、と首を横に振り
なんとか正気に戻るのでした
そしてまた出ましたね！語尾の「〜さ」
誰が言うかが大事な役割語です

シンガポールで開催される空手大会をめぐり
巨大な宝石「紺青の拳」を狙う怪盗キッドが事件に巻き込まれます
現地にいるはずのないコナンも、キッドの策略でシンガポールへ
京極真らを巻き込み、巨大なブルーサファイア「紺青の拳」と
殺人事件の謎に挑みます
またまた車の爆発でスタートか〜い
真さんがお人好し過ぎなのが気になりました
対戦相手のスポンサーの言葉なんぞ真に受けてどうする〜？
なんで大人しくミサンガ着けてる〜⁈
試合に出ないよう誘導されてるの気づけ〜！
キッドにミサンガ切られた後は、北斗の拳かと
思うような戦いっぷりでしたが
レイチェルさん、どうせダイイングメッセージ書くのなら…
「She」って書ける気力あったら、犯人の「Leon」
って書いて欲しかった
なんなら素直に「Ship」でも良かったのよ〜
蘭が最初から新一でないことを見抜いたのは
「お父さんを”おじさん“ではなく”おっちゃん“と呼んだから」
ということでしたが…視聴者を甘くみてますね
前作のラストでこのメール送ってるじゃん！
“おっちゃん”って呼んでるじゃん！
調べてみたら、当時の映画公開時や、TV放送の時も
SNSでツッコミ多数だったそうです
私は連続で観てたから気づけたのかもしれませんが
それにしても製作陣しっかりしてっ！
コナンの視聴者はただでさえ、
「なんだこの違和感は⁈」となりやすいのだから
解明ロジックには矛盾のないようにお願いします
キッドがマント翻しただけで変身するのも
ショーとして楽しめましたが、個人的には最後の
片腕マネキンのトリックが1番素晴らしかった
2021年 第24作 『緋色の弾丸』
世界最大級のスポーツ大会「WSG」の開催を控え
東京で大規模な企業誘拐事件が発生
コナンは事件の真相を追う中、FBI捜査官・赤井秀一や
その家族と協力することに。やがて舞台は真空超電導リニアへ―
もはやリニアを吹っ飛ばしても誰も死にませんね（汗）
街も近未来的になっていて、今の日本よりも明らかに
技術が進んでいるように見えます。だからこそ
私がコナンマラソンで抱えていたモヤモヤが
一気に爆発した映画でもありました
ちょっと毒吐くんで閲覧注意🎵
これまで作品の中で、古いジェンダー観を感じさせる描写が出てくるたびに
イラッとしていました。最近の『ゼロの執行人』のときも
蘭は父親逮捕の解決を新一に丸投げして自分は泣いているだけ、
『紺青の拳』でも、園子は真さんが戦っている間
背中でビービー泣いているだけ。問題を解決するのは男性側、
女性は危険になったら男性に守ってもらう…というような構図が出てくるたびに
「ケッ」と思ってました。もちろん灰原や世良のように
自立して行動できる女性達の活躍もありますが
肝心のヒロインは主人公に助けてもらう人質になること多く
新一を待ち続け、泣き崩れる存在って
ヒロインの王道なのか知らんけど、いいかげんウンザリしてきます
高校生の蘭が1人で家事の全てを担っている設定もいかかがなものか
感謝するどころか「メシはまだか！」と怒鳴るおっちゃんよ、
娘を家政婦かなんかだと思っているのか⁈
お腹が空いたら自分で何か食べればいいでしょう、子供じゃないんだから
ここでも女性は家事をして、男性は食事ができるのを待つ、
という古い役割分担がストーリーの中で繰り返されています
特に、Tシャツに味噌汁をこぼしたおっちゃんに、蘭が
「お父さん、バンザイして」と言って脱がせているシーンには
かなりドン引きしました。母親が着替えを手伝う幼児か〜⁈
「ダメ親父＋世話焼き娘」という製作陣のお約束のコメディは
もはや現代の感覚とかなりズレているように思います
男性は何もしなくても女性の家族が世話をしてくれるのが当然の描写
今だにこの性別役割をギャグとして消費させるつもりなのでしょうか
「ケッ」を通り越して「ゲッ！」となった瞬間でした
このグラフを見て分かるように、日本の男性の家事・家族ケアの分担率は
33カ国中最下位で、日本は「世界一、夫が家事をしない国」と言われています
コナンは30年以上前に始まったので、90年代の古い価値観が
根強く残っているのでしょう。社会全体の意識は変わっていても
制作の意思決定を行う組織の「中の人たち」の価値観の更新が進まない限り
作品内の表現が古いまま止まってしまっています
テクノロジーや背景設定が未来化するほど、
キャラクターのジェンダー観の古さが際立ってしまい
結果的に私がブチ切れた映画となりました（笑）
コナンの世界はワクワクする魅力に溢れています
どんだけ爆発が多かろうと！キャラクターが不死身だろうと‼︎
超人的な能力を持っていようとも!!!
それは非現実のマンガの世界として笑い飛ばせます
けど現実社会の日常生活に関する描写だけは
どうしても笑って受け流せなかったな…
2018 — Movie 22: Detective Conan: Zero the Enforcer
Kogoro is arrested as a suspect,
and Rei Furuya, a member of Japan’s Public Security Police,
begins investigating the case.
To prove Kogoro’s innocence,
Conan pursues the truth while coming into conflict with Amuro.
Here we go again… another explosion to start the movie.
I felt that this movie was boosted quite a bit by Amuro’s sheer coolness.
It was basically an Amuro Tooru showcase from start to finish!
Around the time he said,
“My lover is this country,”
I found myself watching from a safe distance, thinking,
“No way I’m falling for the filmmakers’ attempt to sell Amuro to me!”
But then came the scene where he shoots while falling,
smashes through a window, and dives inside…
I was about to be knocked out by his coolness.
But I shook my head, thinking,
“I’m not falling into their trap!”
Somehow, I managed to come back to my senses.
And there it was again!
That sentence-final “~sa.”
Who uses it matters a lot in Japanese.
It’s a kind of character-specific speech pattern that helps convey a character’s image.
◇ Amuro, Akai, Shinichi, and Kid → It suits them. ♡
◇ Conan and Inspector Shiratori → It feels a little off.
◇ Uncle Kogoro, Inspector Megure, and Professor Agasa
→ Absolutely not. It just sounds like a joke!
2019 — Movie 23: Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire
A karate tournament is being held in Singapore,
and Kaito Kid gets caught up in a case involving the huge sapphire known as the “Fist of Blue Sapphire,” which he is after.
Conan, who should have been nowhere near Singapore,
also ends up there thanks to Kid’s scheme.
Together with Makoto Kyogoku and others,
Conan takes on both the mystery surrounding the giant blue sapphire,
the “Fist of Blue Sapphire,” and a murder case.
Another car explosion to start the movie?!
Makoto being way too trusting really bothered me.
Why would he take his opponent’s sponsor at his word?
And why on earth did he just let them put that friendship bracelet on him?!
He should have realized they were trying to manipulate him into staying out of the tournament!
After Kid cut the bracelet off him,
Makoto went into full-on battle mode.
For a moment, I wondered if I was watching Fist of the North Star!
If Rachel had enough strength to leave a dying message,
then why not write “Leon,” the name of the killer?
She could even have simply written “Ship.”
Ran realized from the very beginning that the person with her wasn’t Shinichi.
Her clue?
He called her father “occhan” instead of “ojisan.”
Come on… are you underestimating the audience?
He had already sent that email at the end of the previous movie!
And he called Kogoro “occhan” in that email, too!
I looked it up afterward, and apparently viewers on social media pointed this out repeatedly both when the movie was released in theaters and when it was later broadcast on TV.
Maybe I only caught it because I watched the movies back-to-back.
But still… come on, guys. Get your continuity straight!
Conan viewers are already the kind of audience who can easily go,
“Wait… something feels off here?!”
So please, at least make sure the logic used to solve the mystery doesn’t contradict what you showed us earlier!
I also enjoyed Kid transforming simply by flicking his cape.
It felt like part of the show.
But personally, I thought the final trick involving the one-armed mannequin was the most impressive one.
2021 — Movie 24: Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet
By this point, apparently even blowing up a bullet train doesn’t kill anyone.
The city also looks remarkably futuristic, with technology that seems far more advanced than what we have in Japan today.
And perhaps because of that, this was the movie where all the frustration I had been accumulating during my Detective Conan marathon finally exploded.
A little rant coming up, so consider yourself warned.
Every time the series has shown something that feels rooted in old-fashioned ideas about gender roles, I’ve found myself getting increasingly annoyed.
Even in the recent Zero the Enforcer, Ran basically left Shinichi to solve the problem of getting her father out of trouble while she just cried.
And in The Fist of Blue Sapphire, Sonoko spent the time Makoto was fighting clinging to his back and crying helplessly.
Whenever I see this kind of dynamic—
The men solve the problems, while the women are protected by men when things get dangerous…
—I can’t help thinking, “Oh, come on.”
Of course, there are plenty of capable female characters, such as Haibara and Masumi Sera, who can take action and handle things on their own.
But when it comes to the main heroine, she so often ends up being the hostage who has to be rescued by the protagonist.
She waits for Shinichi.
She breaks down in tears.
I don’t know if that is supposed to be the classic formula for a heroine, but honestly, I’m getting pretty tired of it.
The fact that Ran, a high school student, is expected to take care of all the housework at home is questionable in itself.
And Kogoro, instead of being grateful, yells, “When’s dinner?!”
Does he think his daughter is some kind of housekeeper?!
If you’re hungry, get yourself something to eat. You’re not a child anymore!
Once again, the story presents this old-fashioned division of roles: women take care of the housework, while men simply wait for their meals to be ready.
I was especially taken aback by the scene where Kogoro spills miso soup on his T-shirt and Ran tells him, “Dad, put your arms up,” so she can help him take it off.
What is she, his mother helping a toddler get changed?!
The “hopeless dad + endlessly caring daughter” routine may be a long-standing source of comedy in the series, but to me, it feels seriously out of step with modern attitudes.
The message seems to be that men can do absolutely nothing, because the women in their family will naturally take care of them.
Are we really still supposed to find this gender role funny?
That was the moment when my reaction went beyond “Ugh” to “Eww!”
As the graph shows, Japanese men’s share of housework and family care is the lowest among the 33 countries included in this comparison.
Japan is often described as a country where husbands do exceptionally little housework compared with men in other countries.
Detective Conan began more than 30 years ago, so perhaps some of the old-fashioned values of the 1990s have remained deeply rooted in the series.
Even though attitudes throughout society have changed, the way things are portrayed in the series can remain stuck in the past unless the people involved in making the decisions behind the scenes also update their own values and perspectives.
The more futuristic the technology and setting become, the more noticeable the characters’ outdated views on gender roles become.
And that, ultimately, is what made this the movie where I finally lost my patience.
The world of Detective Conan is full of exciting, larger-than-life fun.
No matter how many explosions there are!
No matter how seemingly indestructible the characters are!!
Even if they have superhuman abilities!!!
I can just laugh all of that off as part of an unrealistic manga world.
But when it comes to depictions of everyday life in the real world, I just couldn’t laugh them off and let them slide…
