2014年 第18作 『異次元の狙撃手（スナイパー）』
東京で開催された展望台のオープニングイベント中
謎の狙撃事件が発生。次々と標的が撃たれる中
コナンはFBIや警察と協力してスナイパーを追い
事件の裏に隠された過去の悲劇と真相に迫ります
ずっと連続で作品を見てると、15年以上も経ってますから
映画の中でも変化を感じますね。新キャラも増えてきました
コナンのガラケーがスマホに変わっていたり
ガジェットの性能も、使いこなすレベルも上がってきています
「天国へのカウントダウン」あたりでは、スケボーでも
ここぞ！という時に飛んでいましたが、最近では
ただ早く移動するだけで空高く舞っています🎵
「いっけええええええええ！」でおなじみの
ボールの威力もハンパなくなってきました
あと主要キャラが命の危機に陥るようにもなってきましたね
コナンは雪崩に埋まり、蘭は海に投げ出され、今回
世良は、コナンをかばって撃たれてしまいました
ハラハラの演出なのでしょうけど、
レギュラー陣が絶対死なないの分かってるんで
大人の視聴者は揺さぶられませんぜ〜〜
ベル・ツリーって名前、前にも飛行船で出てきたな〜
と思ったら、鈴木財閥が絡むと、とりあえず「ベル・ツリー」
って名前になるんですね 鈴＝ベル 木＝ツリー って
気づいて、ちょっと感動⭐︎
謎解きに直結するところなんですけど…
立体の五角形に見えるように
犯人たちが緻密に狙撃場所を決めて
犯行におよんでいましたが
そもそも京都にいた復讐相手のウォルツに
伝わってたんでしょうか⁈
最終的に犯人がトイレの窓で星型⭐︎見せたところで…ねぇ…
気付いてるなら、次はベルツリーから狙ってくるのも
分かるハズだし…犯人たちの自己満足？
2015年 第19作 『業火の向日葵』
世界的名画「ひまわり」を巡り、怪盗キッドが大胆な犯行を予告
コナンたちは作品を守るため集められた専門家チームと行動しますが
次々と不可解な事件が発生します
名画に隠された真実と巨大な陰謀に、コナンが挑みます
私は最初から、キッド様を信じておりました
あのお方が美学に反して、人を傷つけることは決してないと
でも新一の変装をすると、ニューヨークなのにしれっと
帝丹高校の制服姿で現れるし、飛行機の中でも
美術館でも何がなんでも制服着てて、逆に怪しいです（笑）
「向日葵」を火災から守るため、コナンとキッドの
野郎2人が挑んでもダメだったのに、蘭が素手の一撃で
壁ぶっ壊してたの、爽快でしたね
鈴木財閥が最新の防災設備を備えて建設した
レイクロック美術館が、オープン初日に盛大に
崩壊してましたけど・・・
今回はベルツリーブランドではありませんが
名前はどうあれ、どのみち破壊される運命なんですな
映画の中でもやっぱり心に引っかかったのは
灰原のコナンへの眼差しに思いを感じ取った
老婦人のセリフ「見つめているだけではきっと後悔する」
でしたね。私も灰原には幸せになって欲しいんですけど…
新一は蘭しか見えてないだろうから
もし、大きくなる薬が完成しても、このまま
普通の女の子として10代を新しく生き直すほうが
幸せにつながる選択肢が増えるかもな、と
私が灰原ならそっちを選んでいる気がします
健康管理も継続して、博士にも長生きしてもらう！
2016年 第20作 『純黒の悪夢（ナイトメア）』
公安警察に潜入していた謎の女性が記憶を失い
コナンたちは彼女を保護します。しかし黒ずくめの組織が迫り
失われた記憶を巡る攻防が始まります
公安、FBI、組織、それぞれの思惑が交錯する中
コナンが巨大な陰謀に立ち向かいます
最後に切なさの残るストーリーでした
あの少年探偵団達が、ある意味1番活躍した作品では？
無邪気さってそんなに心が洗われるものなんでしょうかね〜
それにしても安室と赤井、観覧車の上でバトルしてるヒマないだろ〜！
任務中にいい大人が何やってんだ〜〜それ今じゃないだろ〜〜
体力温存しとけよ〜〜とか戦闘中いろいろツッコミ入れてました
「安室vs赤井」というファン待望の対決シーンらしいですけど
特に展開もないし、なんなら10秒スキップしようかと思ったくらいで（汗）
子供のコナンが来たおかげで、我に返って
元の仕事モードに戻ったという感じでしたよ〜
ただ、黒の組織のヘリを狙撃したり、観覧車の暴走を
阻止しようとするコナンのナイスアシストをしたり、と
大事なところでそれぞれオイシイ役割は果たしていたので
結局、好感度は上がってしまったんですけど…
そしてまた今回も、鈴木財閥が絡んだ遊園地は
見事に大惨事の現場となったのでした・・・
I liked the main theme so much that I actually got the piano sheet music for it!

2014 — Movie 18:
Dimensional Sniper
During the opening event for a new observation deck in Tokyo, a mysterious shooting takes place. As one target after another is shot, Conan teams up with the FBI and the police to track down the sniper and uncover the tragedy from the past hidden behind the case.
When you’ve been watching the movies back-to-back, you really start to notice how much things have changed over the course of more than 15 years.
There are more and more new characters, too. Conan’s old flip phone has been replaced by a smartphone, and both the capabilities of his gadgets and his skill at using them have clearly leveled up.
Back around Countdown to Heaven, Conan would only launch himself into the air on his skateboard when the situation really called for it. These days, though, he can soar high into the sky just to get somewhere faster. 🎵
And that soccer ball, famous for Conan’s trademark
“Go, go, gooooooooooo!”
has become seriously powerful, too.
The main characters have also started finding themselves in some pretty serious life-threatening situations.
Conan gets buried in an avalanche, Ran is thrown into the sea, and this time, Sera is shot while protecting Conan.
I’m sure these scenes are meant to keep us on the edge of our seats, but we adults know that the regular characters are never actually going to die, so you’re not exactly fooling us!
And then there’s “Bell Tree.”
I thought, “Wait, haven’t I seen that name before, in the movie with the airship?” And sure enough, whenever the Suzuki zaibatsu is involved, everything seems to become “Bell Tree.”
Once I realized that it’s basically bell + tree = Suzuki — 鈴 (suzu) means “bell,” and 木 (ki) means “tree” — I was actually a little impressed.
This is directly related to the mystery, but there’s one thing I couldn’t help wondering about…
The culprits carefully chose their sniping locations so that, when viewed in three dimensions, the shots would form a pentagon.
But was Waltz, their target for revenge who was in Kyoto, actually aware of that?
In the end, Yoshino, one of the culprits, leaves a star-shaped message ⭐︎ on the bathroom window, convinced that Waltz will come here, but… well…
If Waltz already knew about the pentagon, wouldn’t he have been able to figure out that the next attack would come from Bell Tree?
So was the whole thing just the culprits satisfying themselves?
2015 — Movie 19:
Sunflowers of Inferno
A bold heist is announced by the Phantom Thief Kid, who sets his sights on the world-famous painting Sunflowers. Conan and the others team up with a group of experts brought together to protect the artwork, but a series of mysterious incidents soon unfolds.
Conan takes on the truth hidden behind the masterpiece and a massive conspiracy surrounding it.
I trusted Kid-sama from the very beginning.
There was no way someone like him would ever hurt anyone, against his own sense of style and honor.
But whenever he disguises himself as Shinichi, he somehow shows up in Teitan High School uniform, even though he’s in New York. He wears that same uniform on the plane, at the museum—basically, wherever he goes.
At this point, the fact that he insists on wearing that uniform no matter what actually makes him look more suspicious.
To protect the Sunflowers from the fire, Conan and Kid—two grown men—couldn’t do it even when they teamed up.
Then Ran smashed through the wall with one bare-handed punch.
That was incredibly satisfying.
The Lake Rock Museum was built by the Suzuki zaibatsu with the latest fire-prevention and disaster-management technology, yet it spectacularly collapsed on its opening day…
This time, it wasn’t a Bell Tree property, but whatever they call their buildings, they seem destined to be destroyed sooner or later anyway.
But the moment that really stayed with me was a line from an elderly woman who sensed something in Haibara’s gaze toward Conan:
“If you do nothing but watch from afar, you’ll surely regret it.”
I do want Haibara to be happy, too…
But Shinichi only has eyes for Ran, so if the drug that allows Haibara to return to her original age is ever completed, I feel that choosing to start over as an ordinary teenage girl might actually give her more possibilities for happiness.
If I were Haibara, I think I’d choose that life. I’d keep looking after the Professor’s health, too, and make sure he gets to live a long, happy life!
2016 — Movie 20:
The Darkest Nightmare
A mysterious woman who had infiltrated the Public Security Bureau loses her memory, and Conan and the others take her into their care. But the Black Organization is closing in, and a battle begins over her lost memories.
As the Public Security Bureau, the FBI, and the Black Organization pursue their own agendas, Conan faces a massive conspiracy.
It was a story that left me with a lingering sense of sadness.
Wasn’t this, in a way, the movie where the Detective Boys were at their very best?
I wonder if there really is something so pure and healing about their innocence.
Still, I couldn’t help thinking:
“Amuro and Akai, you don’t have time to be fighting on top of a Ferris wheel!
You’re both grown men on a mission! What are you doing?!
This is not the time! Save your energy for the job!!”
Apparently, the “Amuro vs. Akai” showdown was a long-awaited scene for fans, but honestly, I didn’t see much point to it.
I was actually tempted to skip ahead about ten seconds.
It was almost as if Conan’s arrival, a kid showing up in the middle of their fight, brought them back to their senses and reminded them that they were supposed to be working.
That said, they each got their own moments to shine when it really mattered—sniping down the Black Organization’s helicopter, for example, and helping Conan stop the runaway Ferris wheel.
So, in the end, I somehow ended up liking them even more anyway.
And once again, an amusement park connected to the Suzuki zaibatsu became the scene of a spectacular disaster…
